Case-Mate, Fergie, And Common Party in Style

Wednesday, the 12th, Tim Cook announced the new iPhone 5. There was a lot of fervor around that bit of news which everyone and their mother knew was coming since the first spy-shot was leaked. However, the real party didn’t begin until Case-Mate, the company behind many of the more stylish iPhone and iPad cases, brought down the house with a performance by Common at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square 42nd Street New York.

Case-Mate does have an upcoming line of cases for the new iPhone 5 and you can have an advanced preview right here. Case-Mate is know for their more outlandish and style conscious cases. They have brilliant colors and interesting concepts and themes. Their unveiling was perfectly timed to fashion week as well here in the city.

At the party, there were elegant models around showing off the cases before Fergie and Common took to the stage. All were dressed really, really well and it really felt like we were at a very exclusive party scene. The look was from Cesar Galindo’s Spring 2013 CZAR collection. I also met some stunning ladies including Dr. Catrise Austin as well as Ms. Melyssa Ford. You can find my quickie interviews with them below. I’ve included an exclusive freestyle from Common during the performance below as well. Fergie MC’d the event, but didn’t sing – leaving the bulk of the entertainment to Common.

All in all, the night was a blast, and if you are getting an iPhone 5 or are in need of a case, I would definitely recommend Case-Mate as they really do seem to be the real deal. The event itself shows they are passionate about fashion and it shows in their designs.

Now this Horrible awesome new product puts a whole new meaning to fast results. Abs just not what they used to be? Too busy to care? Well you’ll love this product called the “Ab-Hancer.” It literally takes your existing folds and molds them into a six pack shape thus making the old-fashioned work out a thing of the past. Women have padded bras and now we too have a tool to fool the opposite sex into thinking we are more attractive than we really are.  I just hope they come out with one for the chest cause this man bra chafes! Was walking around Soho and saw the above picture on the FCUK store. Now I was under the impression that I was the man, so I was a bit puzzled as to why my picture wasn’t up there. However, I was able to let that go. I’ve been seeing their ad campaign around NY and its pretty cool. I am definitely digging the more visceral, beardly, rougher look.  Kinda tired of seeing all these boy models who weigh like 12 1/2 lbs and who are too young to even grow peach fuzz modeling manly clothing. If you have an extreme sense of style and 15,000 dollars laying around then this watch is definitely for you. It looks awesome and is sure to be the head-turner item that will secure the attention you so desperately need enjoy. Its a beautiful concept and if your still skeptical we should mention that it stops bullets…no really. Its bullet-proof and it charges wirelessly.

However, I know I saw a concept like this before, so I either saw this exact watch a few years ago in a magazine somewhere, or its this Handsome Tag-Heuer piece called the Manaco V4. Not quiet bullet-proof, but the sapphire case and alligator skin band don’t hurt one bit.

You ever had an idea that was so cool that you couldn’t tell anybody? You just let it fester for a while, and then one day you randomly see an advertisement for your exact idea? Sucks doesn’t it. Guess that just means your on the cutting edge. With that, I’ll introduce to you the AurorWatch Concept by Jihun Yeom. Its awesome actually. There is no recognizable face or hour markings. Rather, there is a blue and a red beam. The red beam indicates the minutes, while the blue beam indicates the hour. You just tap the watch to display, otherwise, the watch is faceless.

Who knows if this will ever make it to someone’s actual wrist. I don’t care. I’m still salty that someone else had my idea.
